What To Expect

What To Expect?

Your one-on-one nutrition consultation is personal and confidential.

The registered dietitian will identify nutritional deficiencies, areas of improvement and present evidenced-based solutions to modify your eating habits, leading to better health. Together, you and the dietitian will set realistic  nutrition goals that take into account your unique health needs and lifestyle.

Initial Visit

Typically, the first visit lasts 60-90 minutes.
In this get-to-know-you session, you will talk about your present eating and activity patterns, health challenges, and current goals. The dietitian will take your weight, height, measure blood pressure, review your health history and share initial assessment results with you .

Follow-Up Visits

Future visits are 30 to 60 minutes.
During the second visit, which is scheduled usually one week after the initial appointment, the dietitian will go over your nutritional status and discuss an action plan based on your needs at that time.

To reinforce new eating habits, learn what foods to buy at the grocery store, improve your meal preparation skills and provide accountability, you will need to follow up with the dietitian on a regular basis.
These visits are crucial to your long term success.

Frequency Of Visits

Depending on your needs, health situation, and time constraints, the frequency of sessions can vary from one session to once or several times a week. If your health problems are due to a chronic disease such as metabolic syndrome or diabetes, or if your goal is to promote optimal health and well-being, you may benefit from a lasting relationship with a dietitian.
